GCHW spoke with Roberto Moretti, Medical Director, ATS Bergamo at the 6th Global Healthy Workplace Awards and Summit, Bergamo, Italy, 6-7 September 2018 with regards to his recommendation on achieving workplace health policy in Italy.

MD, MPH and Certificate in Community and in Tropical Medicine. Responsible of the Health Promotion Unit at ATS of Bergamo.

Roberto Moretti has worked in West Africa for 4 years and participated in drafting projects and evaluations in Europe and in more than 10 and Asian and African countries He has experience in teaching at various Italian and foreign universities and is an author of over 50 publications in international and national journals.

Among his most significant projects in public health: the “Piedibus” (Walk to school) the Workplace Health Promotion program of the Lombardy Region, the organization of breast cancer screening program in Bergamo and colon cancer screening in Lecco, and the development of pilot project on antiretroviral therapy for HIV in Zimbabwe.
