10th Global Healthy Workplace Awards Winners

Kenya’s APHRC won the SME Global Healthy Workplace Award, the first African winner in any category during the ten years of the prestigious Award program. EDP in Portugal was the 2022 winner in the Multinational category and NUS, the Singaporean university, won the large company category.

Tommy Hutchinson, co-director of the awards host organisation, the Global Centre for Healthy Workplaces, said “the success of APHRC shows the growing recognition in all parts of the world of the importance employee wellbeing plays in determining business performance.”

The runner ups were Godrej Industries (large employer in India), Tradedoubler (SME, Poland), and CGI (multinational in Canada)

Fellow co-director, Wolf Kirsten, who chaired the judges panel at the virtual summit said “perhaps it is a side effect of Covid, but we have seen the quality of innovation in the programs getting better and better to what is now an extremely high standard.”

The 10th Global Healthy Workplace Summit was held virtually on 8th and 9th November.
