What does it mean to Allianz to be a Global Healthy Workplace Awards winner?

It demonstrates that our integrated approach—anchored in our business and sustainability strategies and endorsed by senior leadership has reached a global standard for excellence. .

This award motivates us to continue investing in innovative, evidence-based programs that support our employees’ physical and mental health, and to serve as a role model for other organizations worldwide.

What do you think are the particular strengths of your program and what advice would you give to a multinational employer thinking of developing or advancing a global strategy?

Our strengths are:

  • Comprehensive, holistic approach with employee involvement and measurement of impact

Advice: Start with strong leadership commitment, integrate health into your business strategy, set global standards with local adaptation, use data-driven employee feedback, and involve employees at every stage.

How do you handle setbacks or challenges in implementing workplace wellness initiatives, and what advice would you give to others facing similar hurdles?

We address challenges through continuous employee listening to feedback, targeted action plans, and cross-functional collaboration. For example, when our survey results highlighted work-related stress as a challenge, we introduced mandatory resilience trainings for all people leaders and free-of charge for all employees, expanded mental health first aiders resources, and launched practical tips and tricks how to work smarter and not harder.

Advice: View setbacks as opportunities for growth, listen to employees, act quickly on feedback, and collaborate across functions to find effective solutions.

Where do you see the future of workplace health and wellbeing, and how do you plan to stay at the forefront of this field?

The future of workplace health is holistic, data-driven, and deeply integrated into business strategy. Flexible work arrangements, empowerment, digital upskilling, recognition, belonging and inclusion and equal opportunities will remain critical hand in hand with physical and mental health related preventive and care offerings. Furthermore, Allianz will stay at the forefront by further building trust and investing in AI and human collaboration, and continuously improving health related initiatives based on employee feedback and emerging trends.

What are some of the most valuable lessons of taking part in the Global Healthy Workplace Awards and the 2025 Global Summit?

Participating in the Awards and Summit reinforced the value of benchmarking and external feedback, networking and knowledge sharing, and celebrating success and learning from others. Recognition motivates our teams, and open discussion fosters a culture of continuous improvement. The experience strengthened our conviction to “care for employee health and well-being” at the heart of our strategy and to contribute actively to the global healthy workplace movement.
